Just Dance: a somatic release party

Friday Sept 27th

2:30 - 3:30 pm

Love Tent

The powerful healing of freeform dance and somatic therapy unite in this fun movement class. No dance skills required, just come and let your body move to the music. The simple act of moving freely in the moment, allowing muscles to stretch and energy to flow wherever it needs to flow allows for long held “stuck” energy to surface, integrate and heal. Come move (and groove if you're fancy) with us as we create space in the body, quiet the mind and open to the opportunity for transformation and mental shifts bigger than the mind can comprehend.

“Everything in the universe has rhythm. Everything dances.”

Cosmic Chakra Flow

Friday Sept 27th

4 - 5 pm

Love Tent

Cosmic Chakra Flow- We will start with a conversation about the current astrological transits and reflect throughout practice how these energies may be showing up in our lives and bodies. We will then follow the Chakra Flow framework which is a Vinyasa style flow where we move intentionally through each energy center called a Chakra. There are 7 and we start from the ground up. Starting with the Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye and ending with the Crown Chakra. In this 60 minute flow we will move through each pose with a smooth transition of one pose leading into the next.

Bio

I am a new yoga teacher and super excited to be a part of the yoga community and sharing the practice with others. I am also very passionate about Astrology and using it as a tool to better understand ourselves and each other. I love fusing the two together and embodying the "as above, so below, as within, so without" ideology, with fun and laughter along the way.

All Tied Up: Self Rope Bondage for Self Connection (ages 18+ only)

Friday Sept 27th

4 - 5 pm

Tea Tent

This non-sexual workshop is for those curious about or beginning their journey with rope bondage, or those with prior partnered rope experience who want to explore tying themselves.

Rope can be sadistic or comforting, can make you feel safe or vulnerable, it can be like a cozy rope hug or like a torturous challenge. It really is what you make of it! Self tying can be a powerful way to connect with yourself, feel grounded, and explore your creativity.

There will be a limited amount of rope available to borrow for the class, but it is HIGHLY encouraged that you bring your own rope and safety scissors/shears (more info below)!

We will cover:

- safety and learning about potential risks and how to mitigate them

- single column tie (non-collapsing knot on a part of the body)

- double column tie (non-collapsing knot connecting 2 body parts)

- frictions (what most of my ties consist of after I do a single column)

- If time allows, I’ll teach a specific pattern or harness based on the preferences of the class attendees

Bring with you:

- rope (nylon, POSH, jute, or hemp preferred, 2-6+ hanks of 15ft-30ft length)

- safety scissors/shears

- towel, yoga mat, blanket, or something to sit and/or lay on comfortably

- water

- snack if you think you’ll want it

- curiosity and an open mind

They took a few years off after their injury, then in June 2022 their passion for rope was reignited! They have spent many hours learning from folks one on one in person, at rope labs and jams, at workshops and group classes, and through online resources such as Shibari Study, Crash Restraint, and Rope365. I believe bodywork is an art - a combination of deep listening, empathetic sense and skillful integration of knowledge that results in an incredibly therapeutic, one-of-a-kind experience. A graduate of the Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand and Southern California Health Institute, my sense-ability blends wisdom and modalities from both the east and west. The most common request after twelve years in practice is 'just do your thing.' I am a 500RYT and practicing yogi, walking my own path towards loving liberation, soul-full sovereignty and radical responsibility. It is part of my purpose to be and create safe, honest spaces where people can remember their empathetic sense, cultivate their 'quiet place' and come home to themselves.

We will open up the four directions and expect to hear healing deep relaxation sounds from all over the world such as singing bowls, didgeridoos, over-tone singing, percussion, Native American flutes, guitar and atmospheric soundscapes to guide the journey. This is the inner revolution your body has been looking for.

Relateful Gatherings & Fireside Chats

Saturday Sept 28th

11:15 pm - 1:15 am

Tea Tent

At Relateful Gatherings we explore the present moment in connection.

This includes our “authentic voice”, and parts of our experience that we might not often name, such as physical sensations, states, images, or emotions. For Example, one session the circle felt very cozy and connected. Someone shared, “I have an image of a fire that we are all gathered around”. Why do we invite these less common forms of expression? We often find that the more we are able to include and honor all parts of ourselves, the more whole our relationship with ourselves and others are.

Gatherings also include our relational patterns or habits that get in the way of us having a more honest and direct connection. The invitation is to bring awareness to the pattern, rather than get lost in it. For example, I may feel myself start checking out when the speed of someone else’s share is too fast for me to follow. One option is for me to share, “I want to follow you but I notice myself checking out when you talk faster than I can follow.”

With both including more parts of ourselves, and bringing awareness to What's in the way, there is no assumption that you should change. Rather, we invite you to bring awareness to what already is, and agency to how you want to show up. This may look like sharing, “I feel 95% offline right now, and really don’t want to go into my inner experience”. This may also look like, “It feels edgy for me to own my power, so I’m going to lean into stating what I want”. Boundaries are included in authenticity.

The Relateful Gathering will be structured as an open circle, where anyone can share at any time. We also may include an activity or exercise in the middle to highlight a specific aspect of relating that feels alive for us.

If you feel called to step into more authentic, and connected ways of being we would love to see you there.

Bio

Relateful Gathering explores the question: how do we step into more alive, mindful, and loving ways of being together?

What if we could change that narrative to one of collaboration and support? That's where The Shine Theory comes in. As an experienced Learning & Development Professional and Leadership Coach, I've seen firsthand the power of collaboration and positive relationships. This theory emphasizes that success is not a zero-sum game, and that a rising tide lifts all boats. I'll discuss how The Shine Theory can be applied in different settings, from personal relationships to the workplace, and share practical tips on how to identify your individual strengths and leverage them to support others. Attendees will leave this presentation feeling inspired, motivated, and equipped with the tools and knowledge to build meaningful connections and collaborate with others for greater success. As we are becoming more and more aware of the consciousness of trees and our connection to them it is time to hear what the trees have to say. How do they feel about the world at large? Do they have ideas about how to live in harmony? Do they like dogs? Will they tell you a joke?

Come join Sandra as she takes a walk through the festival and relays the messages the trees wish to share, helping participants to connect with the trees and find a little balanced harmony with the world around them.
