Over the past few years we noticed a huge gap in the holistic community...

...the UNITY part...

We are on a mission to build that connection!

It has been challenging in the past for us to find one another...

Not anymore! We are dedicated to connecting all types of beautiful humans in this holistic community so that we can thrive & rise together, all while sharing what we truly love to do!

OUR STORY

About Sol Harmony Fest.

Sol Harmony Fest was created to support and connect the various holistic communities. We truly believe that there are unlimited ways to heal, grow and transform; which is why we offer such a variety of holistic services at our event.

When we came together for the 1st annual Sol Harmony Fest in 2021, an Intention was set.

We didn't really know what to expect from the outcome. We spent most of our days exploring & meeting with local teachers, healers and other holistic businesses to spread the word and gather feedback from the community.

The energy and support we received was vital to the holding of our intention throughout the planning stages and into the actual event. We knew that our intention was strong and we learned throughout the event and even after, the depths that it had reached and the lives that it had changed.

We are extremely grateful and excited to welcome back everyone who joined us last year and look forward to seeing many new faces and having more amazing experiences to share.

‪My life’s work is helping others find balance on and off the mat through the lenses of self awareness and personal power. I‬ believe that within each of us there are gifts unique to the individual and each person's full expression of our unchanging truths, are paramount in making this world a better place. I believe we are capable of merging our dreams with our reality. As it is on my mat that I am able to create the space to choose my path. It is within my meditations that I am learning to embrace the unique melodies I was given. In my breath work; that I integrate this profound wisdom into my entire existence and give myself permission to surrender to the unfurling. In my connection with the Mother Earth (Gaia) that I know I am alive. For me, my practice is my sacred space and I cherish the opportunity to meet myself on my mat.

As a Teacher I aspire to inspire you to entertain the concept that it is possible to bridge our dreams with reality one breath, one movement at a time in a way that reflects your inner callings. We will explore the fine lines and the spaces in-between as we observe ourselves and our responses the to greater whole around us

.Jane Ritz

I am a spiritual guide and I teach Quantum Spirituality... metaphysics through the lens of love. I take from all types of spiritual practices so all are inclusive and welcome, with the intention and purpose to unite the world in love, acceptance, compassion, and creativity.

Bio

Hello Friends! I'm Grace Millsap (she/her), and I'm currently located in Charlotte, NC (Catawba and Sugaree land). My passions are rooted in science and equality, which inform my teaching of Yoga, and how I show up in the world. I spent 5 years in the fast-paced, and high-pressure, scientist world where I conducted research for UNC-Chapel Hill in the intersecting fields of nutrition, genetics, and neuroscience.

In 2013, I completed my first Yoga teacher training, and immediately began to draw connections between modern science, and Yogic philosophy. I study, and teach, from a long lineage that believes that life is inherently beautiful, and that the path of Yoga is a tool set to better navigate the many twists and turns. Specifically, from the Tantra and Himalayan Traditions of Sri Vidya.

In 2017, I co-created “Ethics in the Yoga Community”, a dynamic series that looks at the tough topics in the community through facilitated panel discussions and group practices to foster trust and connection, that was featured in Yoga Journal. My classes, whether restorative or flow, are infused with my passions, and quest for magic and joy.

When not teaching, you can find me with my nose in a book, plotting new ways to disrupt the status quo, lounging with my teenager “puppy” Fizzgig, and soaking in the goodness of the many waves of life. I am a student first, and humbled to call myself a teacher of Yoga. I honor Asana as one tool, of many. I am always willing to evolve and (un)learn.

Storytime with Dammah

Friday 9/23 1:00-2:00PM

Story Time with Dammah is a sharing of her new book called

"The Colorful Feeling of Me: A Fun Way to Learn About Chakras and the Loving Energy Flowing Through You!

For the whole family, this colorful book provides a simple understanding about the chakras and the subtle energy that flows through you. This life force energy is understood by many traditions and cultures and has many different names (qi/chi, ki, prana, universal or cosmic life force, spiritual energy), as does the source of this energy (God, Source, The Divine, Mother-Father, Consciousness, Light, Nature, Creator). Regardless of your personal approach, this colorful book is an interactive and simple way to begin teaching children about the subtle energy that is a part of their experience.

This book is a resource full of teachings, terms and interactive tools to help caregivers help their children learn about the energy aspect of their spiritual nature, mindfulness and the power of their words. This book is intended to foster inner peace, self-esteem and compassion by weaving together spiritual, metaphysical, and philosophical teachings. Filled with bright, gender-neutral graphics and activities, a visiting group of stars comes for a visit to help your child:

See themselves from a higher place, through the eyes of Love / God / Consciousness / Source / The Universe and begin to have a sense of their place in creation.

Learn about the chakras and the subtle energy / life force that flows through them.

Begin to feel the energy within them and learn how their thoughts can shift the way they feel.

Full of fun ways for your child to engage with the ideas and practices presented, there is an assortment of super fun activity pages to solidify understanding such as: places for expository coloring/drawing, practice pages that guide experiential learning, and a 'make a mobile' project using images you can cut out from the back of the book!

Dammah will also share Light language at the end to mirror for the children that it is safe to be yourself and share your gifts openly with others.

Books will available for purchase & signing - $20 (cash only)

The Power of the Subconscious Mind

Friday 9/23 3:00-4:00PM

Did you know 95% of your behaviors and personality actually come from a part of your brain you're not even consciously aware of? Or that the part of the mind you ARE aware, and that most people focus on in therapy, self help or healing modalities is only 5%? In this class I'll dive into what the subconscious is, why it's so important to understand and tap into, and how you can navigate profound changes in your life by learning the programs and beliefs that live there and how to actually change them. If you're constantly feeling "stuck" or like you're going in circles and can't seem to breakthrough certain patterns or behaviors, this info is for YOU!

Bio

Holly Joy McCabe (AKA Spiritual Fit Chick) is a holistic life coach & somatic trauma therapist with an additional background in nutrition, bodywork, & fitness. In her work she pulls upon various fields of mind-body science, spirituality, and neuroscience to guide clients through a unique approach to health & healing. Her signature process starts at the core issues that dwell in the subconscious mind and the trauma stored in the body and nervous system. These two elements are responsible for so many of the struggles someone experiences and are rarely accessed through traditional approaches. She then builds outwards into the more superficial aspects like mindset, self-love/self-care, exercise, and nutrition to complete a full wellness spectrum. This multi-layered approach creates a massive mental and physical shift and facilitates lasting life change. She’s also the owner of Zen In A Bottle Health, a supplement and CBD company that focuses on natural solutions for everyday issues women face.

She offers support in this space, reminding you to love the shit out our yourself today and always, no matter where you are on your journey. She also host transformational events throughout the year, with her husband, including their 4 day holistic healing arts festival in September, Sol Harmony Fest. Dancer since I was 3 (ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, street), performance artist /thespian since I was 6, yogi since I was 14, improv comedian / dancer since I was 18, yoga teacher since I was 22. These tools served the purpose to perform, compete, and entertain. Today, they primarily serve as tools for me to process, express, and love my journey of life. Now I am 30, flirty, and have been integrating all these practices into a greater form of expression and self-love and am ready to teach others the power of integrating the tools they've learned in their life and to listen to their intuition. For the last year and a half I have been developing my yoga practice into a teachable format. This is for people who aren't just looking to get into their body, but looking to build the foundation to be able to listen, discover, and explore within themselves through accessing flow, reflecting on personal autonomy, building strength and flexibility, experimentation, and more.

As he got older, he became exposed to different artists and public figures such as Erykah Badu and Dr. Llaila Afrika that showed himself love and acceptance. He became engulfed in learning African roots, traditions as well as strong pride for the color of his skin. This newfound love of himself motivated him

As Ali continued to morph into a man, he started yearning to learn more about nature and wanted to learn more about ancestry and self love. He created song is titled, “No Care”. It can be found on iTunes, YouTube, etc. His favorite excerpt of the song is:

No care

for life of a black man

King, born in this world,

denied his crown &

Brainwashed, stripped of culture, poisoned

Disconnected from the earth

Bring it back, we gotta get back to the earth

We the people learn to live from the earth

It’s our duty to nourish the earth

Restore balance, let them stop killing the earth

Encouraging others to reconnect

Later producing Ali Steele - I can only be me

Shielding Your Auric Field

Saturday 9/24 12:30-1:30PM

Shielding Your Auric Field Through Sound, Movement and Visualisation

The most important part of community is being able to do what you need to do to take care of yourself, so that your cup can be full enough to care for and with others. This workshop will focus on creating your own space within your body and your energy field that you can feel comfortable in whilst in a large group of people, keep your energy levels up, and truly be present in the best way, both for yourself and for others. We will be focusing on different techniques using the mediums of sound, movement, language, visualisation, feeling, and more, to be able to find the way that works best for each of you as individuals to build your shields and keep their own energy beautiful, healthy, and thriving… it will be fun, after this event, to see people walking around making strange movements and noises.

Bio

Hi there! My name is Rachel, and I am a Metaphysical Practitioner, Psychic Educator, and a Limited Licensed Practicing Counsellor hailing from the mitten state of Michigan. On the more personal side? I delved into the depths of my own shadows after years of self-loathing, psychic abuse, and a complete misunderstanding of my own abilities, and emerged in a place of deep self love and a grounded psychic practice. I am inspired to help people who do not understand their psychic selves, and who have trouble loving themselves in their earthbound skin. As we are in the midst of blueprinting this New Earth, I am determined to help people understand the intersection of mental health and psychic abilities, because if you’re human, you’re psychic.

Create Your Own Tarot Card

Saturday 9/24 2:00-3:00PM

We will begin by discussing a brief overview of tarot and its history. I will share how I use tarot cards in a daily spirituality practice, and create affirmations through the meanings of the cards, which I use to guide my day. We will engage in a guided brainstorming to create a dream for our future selves, looking at the new season as inspiration. Once we settle on a phrase or phrases, we will distill our dream/goal down to one word. We will write this word as the title of our own tarot card, and create a drawing to illustrate our idea. There will be pre-printed tarot borders to draw and write inside of, and we will have a variety of drawing and painting materials to engage with. The focus will be on free expression and fun, allowing ourselves to play.

Bio

I am an artist and art teacher based in Concord, North Carolina, where I live with my husband and our pets. I am an avid reader and also love running and being in nature. I graduated from Oberlin College in 2016 with a BA in Studio Art and Jewish Studies. I am currently attending SCAD in pursuit of my MFA in Illustration.

I grew up in New York City, Massachusetts, and Los Angeles, and attended Waldorf Schools where I first discovered my love of art making. I am from a family of creatives and have always found magic and spirituality through art. I love intricate work and have most recently been exploring the Tarot through ink and watercolor drawings.

I have been teaching for six years and find a great amount of joy in fostering creativity in others. I do commissioned work and love collaborating with other creatives.

The Language of the Stars

Sunday 9/25 12:30-1:30PM

Come learn some of the basic foundations related to the study of astrology, in order to have a better understanding of the "cosmic blueprint" to your own unique "stellar design" ;) For this, Nathaniel will describe and explain the mechanics of planets, signs, houses, and aspects used in astrology, giving everyone a perspective from which to begin contemplating their own natal configuration. If you've ever wondered how astrology "works," this is a great place to start figuring it out, or just join with others of like-minded camaraderie :)

Bio

Nathaniel has been called towards metaphysical, spiritual, and occult studies his whole life. From an elementary school enthusiasm for Greek mythology, to an adolescent interest in archetypes and psychology, to a modern day exploration of Qabalah and astrology, his studies have continued to overlap, compound, expand, and evolve. As a result, Nathaniel has cultivated an intimate relationship with the archetypal symbols and themes these systems embody, creating an “intuitive database” from which guidance can be derived. Currently, Nathaniel enjoys sharing the fruits of his learning by teaching metaphysical classes, interpreting astrology charts, and intuitively coaching/counseling others.

Discovering Your Self-Care Routine

Sunday 9/25 2:00-3:00PM

In this interactive workshop, students will discover what Self-Care means to them and they will build their own custom-tailored Self-Care routine filled with activities that are pleasurable and meaningful to them. As a teacher, I will walk the students through this process with guided meditation. During this process students will use visualization and journaling; a blank work-sheet and writing utensils will be provided to them (by me). This is an introspective exercise, but towards the end of the workshop I will make space for students to share what came up for them, if they wish to do so. At the end of the class, each student will walk away with a "tool kit" containing a list of ideas and activities that allow them to perform Self-Care and add Self-Love in their daily lives."

TESTIMONIAL

the amount of gratitude I had in my body by the end was almost breathtaking for being in a space with SO MANY new like minded individuals.

I attended the first annual Sol Harmony Fest by winning tickets via random drawing contest on Instagram. It's one of the top most memorable festivals that I've been to, and I'm not even exaggerating.

From the beginning we were shown an abundance of compassion. My girlfriend, bestie, and I traveled from Myrtle Beach, SC to Salisbury, NC and booked a "campsite" on Air BnB. We arrived past sunset (which we knew would happen and let the host know ahead of time) and ended up having an awful experience with the host saying our campsite was actually "just anywhere to the left of the driveway" and no fire pit for us to cook food on (which they had stated there would be) so in a panic and on a whim at like 7pm I called the number at the bottom of the Sol Harmony website and reached the beautiful Kat Harmon. I told her what happened and without skipping a beat she said (and I quote) "Come on, call me when you get here and I'll help you get through the gate and show your your spot. There is more than enough space for you here. Don't worry" and not to worry about paying for camping since it was so unexpected. So we got the full experience and I was able to find Kat and thank her in person for everything.

If you're an experienced festival goer you would know that sometimes events attract some questionable patrons. However, the Sol Harmony fest felt so unbelievably safe which is a *huge* green flag for me particularly being traveling women. I made some amazing new connections, met some wonderful new guides in the community, listened and danced to such quality live music and CRIED with Kat during the closing ceremony because of 1) how I never wanted to leave as I was already *home* and 2) the amount of gratitude I had in my body by the end was almost breathtaking for being in a space with SO MANY new like minded individuals.

I felt so good by the end. Usually festivals drain all your energy and you're exhausted by the second day but I felt so rejuvenated and at peace going home 🥰 I cannot wait to see familiar faces and new friends this year!
